Supta Vajrasana - The Supine Thunderbolt Pose



Supta Vajrasana is Vajrasana in Lying down position.

Practice this asana slowly without haste.

Sit in vajrasana, bend backwards, place right and left palm behind you on the floor, palm facing forward, and be in this position for few breathe.

Next bend your elbows one by one and place them on the floor behind you and be there in this position for few breathe.

If comfortable in above position go down more and place your back, shoulder, head on the floor, with your hands on the side of your body.

Place your right hand palm under your left shoulder and your left hand palm under your right shoulder and be there for 11 to 30 breaths.

In Supta Vajrasana,
  • Muscles of our chest, abdomen, thighs gets stretched giving them maximum toning and elasticity.
  • Muscles in abdominal region are stretched.
  • The abdominal wall becomes flexible

Exercises have different purposes, Rajesh Sharma says that the T-push up and mountain climber is a bodyweight and cardio exercise. “These two exercises are bodyweight and full body workouts. Why should you do mountain climber? He replies, “Mountain climber is an excellent combination of strength and cardio exercise. It also improves both these components.”

Muscle Groups exercised with Mountain Climber:

My tryst with Death and Soul

Once when I used to go for learning swimming, I was taken into deep water by my swimming instructor.

He asked me to practice in deep. It was my second or third day in swimming learning.

The swimming instructor started teaching a little child how to swim and forgot that I was practicing in the deep water in swimming pool.

I started to go down (drown) in water.

I started struggling to come out of the water, but went down and down.

Water started going into my chest and stomach, and I was sure that I was going to die.

That time I had an unusual experience,

How real it is I don't understand?

I ( my soul / spirit ) came out of the body and started moving with the wind and was floating with the wind.

It was not my body but my soul / spirit .

My body was still in water struggling to be alive and come out of water.

Due to some unknown force, tip of my index finger touched the leg of swimming instructor.

Swimming instructor turned back and down and saw that I was drowning, he took me out of water. Water had gone in my stomach and may be chest, I was conscious. My body lived.

This was a kind of after life experience, where I experienced my soul coming out of my body and moving up along with the wind, while my body was struggling to remain alive.

While drowning in the water and struggling to be alive I ( me, my soul ) could see the swimming pool and the Hotel where I was learning swimming.

I saw my White Aura during Meditation today


Today while meditating i saw white aura start from the bottom of my spine raise upwards to the forehead and going through my nose and chest and than covering my whole outer body.

Why some seek Peace
by using violence?

How can I control my anger
entrapped in this worldly demands?

They say gravitational force
pull things down,
but fire goes up,
Human and plants
go up toward Sun.

I try to let go
but i can't
things just stick
like flesh to my body

I tried to let go
my soul
from my body!

Now i find
body and soul are
same!

or my universe or my god
to survive.

Why i want them to survive?
Because i want to enjoy the best things
of this cosmos / universe / earth.

of this cosmos / universe / earth?
Because i like it.

Why do i like it?
I don't know!!!

It is survival instinct.

People want to survive

World / Universe / Cosmos is expanding
so we are expanding.

We want everything related to us to expand,
have more portion of it.

I want to have more knowledge.
I want to give more knowledge.
I want to distribute more knowledge.

Whys did i do that is a mystery
which only nature knows.
